Commencement Week Schedule (Undergraduate)

The 2018 commencement week will occur May 7-12

**Due to the large number of expected graduates, a maximum of SIX tickets for Commencement Convocation 2018 will be given to each participating graduate. Graduates may pick up tickets in the MU Bookstore starting Tuesday, April 10. Guests without tickets are welcome to watch the live stream. The ticket limit is necessary to maintain fire safety regulations.

50 Nights to Commencement Celebration

You are invited to attend a cocktail reception to celebrate the countdown to graduation. You will have the opportunity to meet and gain experience networking with alumni, faculty, and staff as we toast the start of your journey as Misericordia Alumni! Dress to network (business attire)

Graduates need to order caps and gowns online by April 6.

Graduates have the opportunity to order class rings and personalized announcements during the Senior Salute on March 26 & March 27 in the Bookstore from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Monday 7 to Saturday, May 12

(8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) Bookstore Graduates pick up caps and gowns through May 12. All caps and gowns must be picked up by 1:00 p.m. Saturday.

(10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) - Check- In for graduates and Families, MacDowell Hall For Graduates and families staying on campus for the weekend.

11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.
Commencement Picnic, Banks Center.

to reserve lunch for graduating students only
(to RSVP you must be logged in to MyMU)

12:30 p.m. Undergraduate Commencement Rehearsal, Lemmond Theater- All graduates, unless excused by the Vice President of Academic Affairs, must attend the commencement rehearsal and ceremony. Graduates are to have their caps and gowns for rehearsal for the class photo following.

2:00 p.m. Undergraduate Class Photograph, Anderson Center- Following rehearsal, the entire class will be photographed as a group. Caps and gowns are required for the class photo.

4:00 p.m. Baccalaureate Liturgy, Lemmond Theater- Graduates and families of all faiths are welcome to participate in this special liturgy, which is part of our Catholic and Mercy Tradition. No tickets required.

6:30 p.m. Awards Ceremony, Lemmond Theater- For graduates and guests. Award recipients will be notified prior to the event. No tickets are required for admission.

Saturday 12

11:30 a.m. Commencement Lunch, Banks Student Life Center- No charge for graduates; $12.00 charge for each guest. Tickets are required. Contact the bookstore at (570) 674-6271.

12:45 p.m. - The Anderson Center opens for guests of the undergraduate ceremony. No guests or personal items (including jackets or blankets on chairs) can remain in the Anderson Center while the building is closed.

1:00 p.m. Line up for Commencement, Lemmond Theater

2:00 p.m. - Undergraduate Commencement Convocation, Anderson Center- Tickets are required for admission, six tickets per graduate. Graduates may pick up tickets in the Bookstore starting Tuesday, April 10.

Any graduate or family member or guest of a graduate who requires disability service arrangements such as parking, should notify the Dean of Students' Office at 674-6238 as soon as this guide is received.

Guests will not be allowed to interrupt graduates' procession into Anderson Center. Late arrivals will be seated after graduates are in the building. A capacity crowd is expected.

The University has employed a photographer to take individual photographs of each student receiving his or her diploma. Click here for details on ordering individual photos.
