FAMILY WEEKEND CELEBRATION!
Friday, September 15th
8pm Dangerous Circus, Lemmond Theater
Start Family Weekend with a circus act that is sure to amaze! Starts at 8pm in Lemmond
Theater.
Saturday, September 16th
10am Walking Tour, Meet in front of Insalaco Hall
Join Sr. Jean Messaros, Vice President of Mercy Integration on a walking tour of Misericordia
grounds and campus. Not your typical admissions tour, this walk will dive down the history of the University and will share some anecdotal information that is sure to impress!
11am Brunch, Banks Center
Bunch in the Dining Hall, must pre-register and no meal swipes will be permitted
1-4pm SOAR Open Paddling, Frances Slocum State Park Boat Launch
Join SOAR at Frances Slocum Boat Launch (inside the park near the fishing docks) to relax on the
peaceful waters in one of our canoes or kayaks. Hosted by student SOAR leaders, get a chance to enjoy the beauty of the back mountain.
2pm SOAR Larch Tree Hike, Frances Slocum State Park Boat Launch
Head out on a hike around Frances Slocum on the Larch Tree trail. You’ll believe you stepped
out of Pennsylvania right into fantasy with the quiet that is the larch trees of Frances Slocum trail. This hike will last approximately 1 hour, about 3 miles, and is considered easy-moderate. We will meet and return at the Boat Launch.
1:30pm Salsa Dancing, Insalaco 218-219
Join the campus in a walk-in workshop on Salsa Dancing! Runs continuously from 1:30-3:30pm
and walk-in anytime to join in the excitement of Salsa Dancing!
8pm Annual Casino Night, Insalaco 217-219
Join the campus community for our annual casino night to win prizes donated by our community
partners and university departments across campus. Enjoy rapport with University staff and faculty as they deal cards during the stretch of the evening, this is always an event not to miss!
This event is by donation to a local charity.
Sunday, September 17th
12noon-5pm Dallas Harvest Festival, Dallas High School
Join as the University and the Dallas community comes together for the annual Dallas Harvest Festival! This event features local vendors, trades, and showcases of local talent. This is always a chance to enjoy the coming of fall with all there is of the back mountain!
