The Medical and Health Humanities minor is designed for students who are interested in the intersection of medicine, health, and humanities, and who wish to complement their major courses. This minor is particularly useful for students majoring in any of the health sciences, social sciences, or the humanities.
The following are the requirements for the Medical and Health Humanities minor (total of 16 credits):
- MHH 201: Introduction to Medical and Health Humanities (4 credits)
- One course from the Humanities and Medicine bank (ENG 305, HIS 342, PHL 315), MHH 301, or PHL 310 (3 credits)
- One course from the Critical Health Studies (MHH 310, MHH 312, MHH 314, MHH 316) or Global Health bank (MHH 330, MHH 332, or MHH 334) (3 credits)
- Two Electives (6 credits), chosen from the major elective list or an additional course from the list above. Note: Students may count these elective courses toward both the core curriculum and minor requirements.
