Campus welcomes start to holiday season with manger service
Posted 12/02/2016 04:26PM

The Misericordia University campus community celebrated the beginning of the holiday season by holding a manger service, singing Christmas carols with the student a cappella group, Beyond Harmony, and decorating the campus Christmas tree in the foyer of Mercy Hall.

The revelers included Miya Pagan, 3 (red dress) and Eileen Peachey, 4, (Plaid) children of the students in the Women With Children Program, who presented the Baby Jesus to be placed in the manger. Guests were invited to place ornaments on a blue and gold trimmed Christmas tree. Jim Roberts, special assistant to the president, offered remarks, and Sean Farry, campus minister, lead the group in prayer. The special celebration also featured light refreshments.
