Center for Adult and Continuing Education inducts students into Alpha Sigma Lambda
Posted 05/07/2018 03:27PM

Fifteen adult learners at Misericordia University were inducted recently into the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society during a brunch and induction ceremony in Sandy and Marlene Insalaco Hall.

Alpha Sigma Lambda is the honor society for continuing education students. Its aim is to recognize the special achievements of adults who accomplish academic excellence while facing competing interests of home and work. The honor society is dedicated to the advancement of scholarship and recognizes high scholastic achievement in an adult student's career. By doing so, it encourages many students to continue forward and earn associate and baccalaureate degrees.

The following students were recognized and inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society: Beth Cottle, accounting, Shavertown; Alyssa Gawlas, accounting, Hanover Twp.; Dominic Griffith, sport management, Kingston; Kimberly Klick, professional studies, Wilkes-Barre; Ann Lewis, nursing, Moscow; Stacy Miller, nursing, Laceyville; Tiffany Mukerjee, nursing, Wilkes-Barre; Krista Nice, professional studies, Swoyersville; Sara Perez, accounting, Harveys Lake; Kristy Rice, applied behavioral science, Swoyersville; Glenn Robbins, professional studies, Clarks Summit; Sarah Rybitski, business administration, Wilkes-Barre; Tammy Schnable, professional studies, Dallas; Evelyn Sirisani, nursing, Bethlehem, and Toni Zalewski, accounting, Tunkhannock.
