Posted 04/29/2019 01:02PM

Nine adult learners at Misericordia University were inducted recently into the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society during a brunch and induction ceremony in Sandy and Marlene Insalaco Hall.

Alpha Sigma Lambda is the honor society for continuing education students. Its aim is to recognize the special achievements of adults who accomplish academic excellence while facing competing interests of home and work. The honor society is dedicated to the advancement of scholarship and recognizes high scholastic achievement in an adult student's career. By doing so, it encourages many students to continue forward and earn associate and baccalaureate degrees.

The following students were recognized and inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society: Jason Burke, business administration, Throop; Beth Dibble, nursing, Montoursville; Rebecca Flick, diagnostic medical sonography, Allentown; RuthAnn Getten, business administration, Weatherly; Jill Gower, professional studies, Schnecksville; Pat Kobela, professional studies, Mountain Top; Rachel Lauck, business administration, Bloomsburg; Lisa Malcolm, professional studies, Shavertown, and Justine Sagan, professional studies, Sweet Valley.
