Pauly Friedman Biography

Pauly Friedman

Pauly Friedman

April 1930 - December 2008

Pauly Friedman, born Pauline Poplin, lived her life in the spirit that is Misericordia, --- through Mercy, Service, Justice, and Hospitality.

She and her husband, Sidney, were awarded the 2004 Trustee Associates Award which recognizes those who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, service, and generosity to Misericordia. Pauly was a committed volunteer within the community and had always expressed a great love for the arts, having served as the first president of Misericordia's Art Gallery in 1977.

During her tenure, she worked enthusiastically to bring outstanding artists to the gallery, expand its membership and champion the gallery and the community. It is only fitting that her passion for the arts and the values of Misericordia continue through the Pauly Friedman Art Gallery. Visitors are welcome and greatly appreciated in her honor.
