The MU PA Program web pages provide information needed to understand the mission and goals of our program, as well as other detailed information, including our admission requirements (education, experience, and academic standards), process for applying, and frequently asked questions (FAQs). Other Program information such as ARC-PA accreditation status, evidence in effectiveness in meeting goals, current annual PANCE report provided by NCCPA, required curricular components, academic credit offered by the program, technical standards, credentialing requirements, program required competencies, student attrition information, admission practices favoring individual and/or groups, practices for advanced placement, policy concerning soliciting clinical sites, tuition, fees, and other estimated costs are made readily available on our website. Central Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA)

Once the application is submitted the applicant can monitor the progress by tracking the receipt of transcripts and references, the GPA calculation process, and other supporting documentation such as foreign transcript evaluations and TOEFL scores. See frequently asked questions in the CASPA Applicant Help Center.

If you have CASPA application-related questions after you have visited the CASPA application help center, you can log in to your application and contact CASPA using the chat icon in the lower right corner. You can also contact CASPA by email at caspainfo@caspaonline.org or by phone at 617-612-2080.

Misericordia University Graduate Admissions

Once Misericordia receives a CASPA verified application, it is screened by the graduate admission officer to ensure that the minimum GPA requirements have been met, the prerequisite coursework has either been completed or is listed as in progress or to be completed by the deadline, the minimum numbers of direct patient contact hours have been accrued, personal statement and letters of reference are included, and successful completion of the TOEFL if required.

Accepted applicants must send any official transcripts that contain courses and or degrees not previously verified on the CASPA application directly to the Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions (see contact information below).  All transcripts must be received prior to matriculation.

Physician Assistant Prospective Undergraduate Students

Misericordia University offers an undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Health Science: Medical Science Specialization degree. The Bachelor of Science in Health Science: Medical Science Specialization degree is the undergraduate degree that would prepare you to meet the admission requirements for Physician Assistant Programs.
