John Matlock '27
John Matlock '27

Meet John Matlock '27, a Business Administration major specializing in Sport Management. John is interning with the GOALS Foundation for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. He helps to create events for the kids to enjoy during the games, and works on other events as well. In addition, John supports efforts to recognize shareholders and tests some of the fan games played during intermission to ensure their safety.

Meet Eli Stoute '27, a Sport Management major interning with MU's Athletics Department. Eli coordinates game-day operations for fall varsity programs that includes facility setup, logistics, and post-event breakdown, ensuring on-time starts and safety compliance. He also streamlines communications among coaches, officials, game staff, and facilities. In addition, he manages radios and run-of-show to keep events on schedule and resolve issues in real time. Eli is also a member of MU's Men's Basketball Team.

Nadia is interning with MU's Marketing and Public Relations Team where she'll put her photography and other skills to good use covering a variety of campus programs and events. Nadia also finds time to contribute to student-run newspaper, The Highlander, and is active in the Business Professionals Association (BPA). You can also see Nadia on campus occasionally selling candy for the Cougar Candy Company.

Lyndsey is interning with Arthrex Lancaster, where she assists the medical education team during surgical labs and shadows medical device specialists in the operating room. She also helps the operating team with behind the scenes work. This experience is helping Lyndsey to reach her goal to work in medical sales after graduation this fall.

Meet Michael Flax '26, a Business Administration major specializing in Healthcare Administration. Michael spent his summer interning at Make-A-Wish NJ, helping to create life-changing experiences for wish kids and their families. In addition to his many administrative tasks, Michael recently helped to set up a large charity golf outing that raised over 1 million dollars in support of several charities, including Make-A-Wish. We applaud Michael for his service to others and for helping to show children that wishes really do come true.

Say hello to Jennifer Milistis '26, an Accounting major with a minor in Management Information Systems. She is interning with Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites, Inc. (HBMS) in Bethlehem, PA as a Finance/Accounting Intern.

Jennifer recently assisted in the finance and accounting process and reporting for HBMS's Blueberry Festival. She is a member of Misericordia's Softball Team, a Peer Tutor on campus, and Mercy Leader. Jennifer was also recently named MU's Tutor of the Year!

Meet Evan Wittig '27, a Business Administration major, specializing in Financial Planning and minoring in Statistics. Evan is interning with Robert W. Baird & Co. This experience has not only deepened his understanding of the financial industry and wealth management, it has given him valuable insights into the company's culture. As part of the Foley Hillsley Group, Evan works alongside industry professionals, learning to create and execute financial strategies for clients and navigate the financial market. In addition to his academic and professional development pursuits, Evan is on MU's Baseball team.

Meet William Troiano '27, a Business Administration major interning with Merrill Lynch as a Wealth Management Seasonal Client Associate. He's quickly learning the Merrill Lynch systems and assists his team with onboarding new clients and advisors. With shadowing and hands-on training through this Bank of America Program, William will develop the skills to become a Client Associate. On campus, William is captain of the Men's Lacrosse Team, making the MAC Honor Roll in both years of play. He's also a proud member of the Business Professionals Association (BPA).

As a scouting intern, Owen is busy scouting high school baseball players and evaluating their performance in showcases and games. He enjoys helping to give youth the opportunity to play at the college level. He also helps with all that goes into running successful events and tournaments. Owen's time in the classroom and as a member of MU's Baseball Team have prepared him well for this great internship opportunity.

George especially enjoys giving presentations to get the word out on this clinic that offers free representation to low-income taxpayers involved in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service or the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Not only is George gaining practical experience, he's also serving the community! When he's not crunching numbers, George also plays for MU's Men's Basketball Team.

Jason does all this while maintaining an outstanding 3.98 GPA. Jason has his sights set on law school after graduation.
