Fun and Fitness Logo

For over 25 years, water aerobics has been a very popular Fun & Fitness program offered at Misericordia University. Open to anyone, this group fitness class takes place in the Anderson Center Pool Monday-Friday mornings. Led by trained professionals, the classes are non-impact, and focus on cardiac health, endurance, strength, and balance. In this very supportive class environment, individuals are encouraged to go at their own pace, creating an enjoyable atmosphere that cares for individuals mind, body, and spirit!  Please note that days and times are subject to change based on lifeguard availability.

·         Water supports the body, putting less stress on your joints and muscles.
·         Working out in water builds strength and balance.
·         The impact of gravity is less in the water allowing a greater range of motion.
·         Working out in water helps prevent overheating, helping you exercise longer.
·         And… It’s fun! It is not often you can say that about a workout!
